RUTS Run For Dreams

February 2024 Announcement: After 10 years, our event will go a different direction and will join the RUTS running series. We’re excited, but this does include changes.

(1) What was previously known as the 24-Hour Run For Dreams, our name has officially changed to RUTS Run For Dreams.

(2) We are eliminating the 24-hour option. This was a challenging decision but we had very few runners out on the course throughout the night most years and we want to align with the other RUTS races, which has the longest option of 12 hours.

(3) The events we will offer are 12-hour, 6-hour and 3-hour individual, plus team relays. All races start at 8 AM.

We’ll have more announcements in the coming weeks, including opening online registration, but wanted to present our exciting news to you first, our most-loyal supporters. For those who aren’t familiar with RUTS, this generally stands for Running Under the Stars (due to these races being throughout the night) and includes Oak Ridge, TN on April 13-14 (12/6/3-hour options), Paducah, KY on June 1-2 (10-hour option), and Corydon, IN on July 6-7 (12/6/3-hour options). Our event will be the fourth and final race of the series on July 27 in Shelbyville, KY, and instead of Run Under the Stars will be Run Under the Sun.
Proceeds from this race will still benefit the Dream Factory!
We understand some of you might be disappointed in eliminating the 24-hour option, but we’re excited for our new changes and joining an awesome series. Please consider supporting these other races, as well!
